Even before we begin, I would like to give a standing ovation to Teresa Palmer. Her performance in Berlin Syndrome is hands down one of the best of hers I have ever seen. She has grown as an actor and it shows on her face. Her act is so natural and realistic that you get …
Never judge a movie by its name. Though how cool it might sound, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is nothing like it. Although it tries to be on numerous occasions, it doesn’t even come close. From the guy who brought you the likes of Lucy, this wasn’t expected. I was really looking forward …
Bold and ballsy! Lipstick Under My Burkha was already narrating a dozen brave tales via its revolting moniker. The good news is this movie is a perfect paragon of it. It is the second big-screen project as a director for Alankrita Shrivastava and she delivers it to perfection. She has also written the story for Lipstick …
Christopher Nolan‘s epic war drama Dunkirk movie lets us witness the plight of the stranded. These were young men in war who were akin to sitting ducks as Krauts delivered justice from above. The movie is also about brave civilians who came to rescue their stranded sons without blinking in the face of danger. If that weren’t …
Get Out Movie is sheer genius. It is all because of the concept it entails and its remarkable execution. It puts in you a genuine feeling of horror and keeps you riveted throughout. That’s its biggest strength. That and the amazing story that it carries. Jordan Peele marks his debut as director in style with …
War for the Planet of the Apes is as alluring as its prequels. The third installment in the franchise doesn’t disappoint either. It has all the goodness inbred that came scuttling down over from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes movie that we saw in 2014. So it would be safe to say Visual …
Spider-Man Homecoming portrays a very realistic view of how our friendly neighborhood Spiderman should be like. He is vulnerable because he is just a kid. He is trying to make his mark to be recognized as one of the big ones (Avengers) and yet he has so much to learn. Spider-Man Homecoming is like that …
I went in with zero hopes to watch Transformers The Last Knight after being one of the victims to 2014’s epic debacle. I thought maybe Michael Bay might have learnt from his mistakes and upgraded himself even to a certain extent based on how bad the flick was. But I was dead wrong. I can’t believe …
Baby Driver is an explosive eccentric ride into the head of a guy suffering from tinnitus. Even though it doesn’t bank on an eye-popping plot, Edgar Wright’s genius makes it all the very more exciting. The screenplay is great and subtly written. There is ample humour to keep the story going. And the work done with the …
Speechless! Nocturnal Animals would render you dumbstruck. It is an outstanding avant-garde flick that is more art than cinema. Yes, there is art laid out in the form of poetry and if you pay attention enough you would begin to appreciate the stories they tell. Nocturnal Animals movie ends in a way so as to leave …
