Austin Film Festival has announced that select advance general-admission tickets are now available for its 33rd edition, which runs from October 29 to November 5, 2026. The festival’s October 14 announcement also adds a live reading starring Sally Field to its Writers Conference programme.
The reading is for Wild Four O’Clocks, an unproduced screenplay by Oscar nominee Peter Craig. Odessa Young and Mac Brandt are also named in the announced cast. The festival says its advance general-admission tickets apply to selected Marquee Features and do not guarantee entry ahead of badge and pass holders.
New guests for world premieres
The announcement names Ben Foster and Manny Jacinto for Nicholas Arioli’s The Stalemate; Adrianne Palicki for Remote; and Geena Pietromonaco and Zach Gilford for Christmas Pop-Up. It also lists Deacon Phillippe and Chandler Riggs for the Texas premiere of Brother Save Us.
For audiences tracking the autumn festival circuit, the update gives Austin’s writer-focused event a more defined mix of screenplay programming, premieres and filmmaker Q&As. The festival describes itself as a showcase for narrative, documentary and animated work, with regional, national and world premieres among its annual programme.
