Sanguine, directed by Marion Le Corroller, has won Best Feature Film in the Official Fantàstic Selection at the 59th Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. The festival announced its winners on October 17, 2026.

The official results also named Joko Anwar Best Director for Ghost in the Cell. Jasmine Trinca received Best Actress for The Spiral, while Benoît Magimel won Best Actor for Historias de la noche (The Birthday Party).

Independent reporting from EFE describes Sanguine as a body-horror film about labour exploitation. The festival’s full awards announcement lists the film as the top feature winner in its main competition.

For genre-film audiences, the result puts Le Corroller’s feature at the centre of one of Europe’s most visible fantastic-cinema showcases. Follow more current coverage in SFAM’s News section.
