The One About Matthew Perry is now streaming on Netflix. The three-part documentary series, directed by Mary Robertson, looks at the actor’s life through testimony from people who knew him.
Netflix’s October 27 announcement says the series includes accounts from Perry’s sister Mia Perry Bowick, longtime friends and creative collaborators, alongside material from the Perry family archive.
Who made the documentary?
Netflix identifies Robertson as director. It says the series is produced by Maxine Productions, part of Sony Pictures Television; Robertson, Lisa Kalikow, Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman are listed as executive producers.
The release is a compact new option for viewers interested in Perry’s screen career and the people close to him, rather than a new scripted Friends project. A Tom’s Guide roundup published October 26 also listed the documentary for Netflix from October 27.
